Nice presentation, thinking that not many lawyers at the DOJ have even a beginners concept of complicated, how specialized the deepwater sector is, how essential to national security this sector will become as the world energy markets become more regionalized, moving away from the Arabian peninsula. Dio, you've read my mind on the DOJ lawyers. Getting up to speed on an industry that's been overshadowed by shale and tight oil in the US for 15 years is no small task, but its possible. I wrote this post after a friend flagged a negative Bloomberg terminal piece on the DOJ and a potential delay. Last year Bloomberg's 'Brazil's Crackdown on Offshore Drillers' article turned out to be inaccurate and misleading, so I'm kind of tired of these articles. Offshore drilling is an easy industry to attack. Bloomberg could be right on a delay, we'll see, but I've had my say and I appreciate your attention. Maybe someday on lobbying?!
